Euro NCAP has today announced its highest scoring car in adult occupant protection since Euro NCAP was established over 10 years ago - Nissan's Dualis / Qashqai.  Euro NCAP is the European New Car Assessment Programme.  Euro NCAP’s front impact and side impact tests measures the crash worthiness of the vehicle and looks for any injury that may occur to the driver or the passenger from structural deformation of the vehicle and vehicle deceleration as a result of an accident. The pole impact test looks at potential injuries to the head.  

The Dualis / Qashqai (which will also be marketed as the Nissan Rogue later this year in North America) received almost maximum points in Euro NCAP’s demanding front impact, side impact and pole impact tests as well as a high score rating for child occupant protection.
