Ruwan Cooper joins the Hardmans team8 March, 2007 This week we welcome our new salesperson, Ruwan Cooper. Ruwan joined us from his previous sales position in another industry. Ruwan's enthusiastic, friendly personality and professional manner impressed us and he has started with us in Nissan sales. There is a growing trend in progressive motor dealerships to employ people without previous motor industry experience. Particularly in Sales and Service roles, if someone has good people skills, you can teach them about cars. However if someone knows about cars, they don't necessarily have good people skills, which are much harder to teach. Sales and service roles can be crucial to business as the sales and service staff are usually the face of the business to so many customers. Like Hardmans, many other dealerships are actively recruiting staff from other industries, such as hospitality, communications and community services. We are convinced that Ruwan's people skills will hold him in good stead with customers as he learns more about vehicles, our dealership and the motor industry.

Moved to Armidale in 1984 adopted from Sri Lanka.
Went to school, have worked and lived in Armidale since the day I arrived
to Australia. Proud to call Armidale home.
I am really enjoying my time here at Hardmans. Great team spirit and support is a major
key in the success of this locally owned business.
Car sales is a new career path I have taken on and really enjoying the
challenge.
We wish Ruwan well as he develops his career by complementing his people skills with more
knowledge about Nissan vehicles.
